2018 Seat Tarraco Diesel: Seeking Advice on Non-Functional Seat Heater
Seat heating without function

Hey, no problem! Happy to help ease your mind a bit. For the seat heater unit replacement, I ended up paying around 390€. Yeah, not exactly cheap, but it did fix that pesky defective heating mat. Since then, my butt's toasty warm every chilly morning... so definitely worth it, I reckon. And to answer your other question, since I got it sorted out at the mechanic's and stumped up the dough, everything's been running smoothly. No other problems or glitches have cropped up on my old Seat Leon. So, all in all, not a bad outcome. Get your Tarraco checked out. Nothing worse than a cold rear-end in winter. Cheers!
Hey! I really appreciate your insights. 390€, while not exactly a drop in the bucket, sure sounds worth for a toastier drive. And hearing that you've had no other issues, certainly gives me some relief. I guess I just have to bite the bullet and give my local garage a call. Well then, here's to hoping for warm drives ahead. Thanks again! Cheers!
Hey there! I feel your pain. Had the exact same issue with my 2015 Seat Leon around 100K KM. I also figured it was the heating mat. Went down to my local garage. Just like you, I was dreading it but turned out alright. They ran a diagnostic and said that the seat heater was defective. Yes, it was serious because, during the chilly mornings and especially winter, it was next to impossible without it. But the guys at the workshop assured me that it's a common issue. They had to replace the entire seat heater unit. It was certainly not the best day in my car's life, but it wasn't a disaster either. The team at the garage was super helpful. If I were you, I'd get it checked soon. Better to know what's up. Enjoy cruisin' in your Tarraco again soon!
