Hey, really appreciate your insight. It indeed sounds familiar with the symptoms my Venga's been showing. I guess it's time to deal with another visit to the mechanic, ey? By the way, do you remember round about how much the dent it made on your pocket for the whole repair? Plus, just curious if you had to deal with any other related issues down the road since the repair. Enjoy your smooth driving cheers!
Hey there! I totally feel you on the whole mechanic dread. I had the same groan inwardly when I first ran into the problem with my Kia Soul. Anyway, to your question about the cost, I had to part with around 355.00 €. That covered getting the defective EGR valve unstuck and fixed. Not the cheapest job, I must admit, but totally worth it for the peace of mind and smoother driving afterwards. Since I got the EGR valve sorted, I haven't run into any more engine troubles. So I'd say it's been a value for money considering it solved the issue completely. I hope it sorts out your Venga's issue too. Good luck with the mechanic visit. Keep us posted! Cheers!
G'day! Thanks heaps for your answer. Ah, that cost hurts a bit, but if it gets my Venga back in shape, it will be worth every cent, I reckon. It's a relief to hear you've had no more trouble since the repair. That’s assuring to know it’s not an ongoing problem. I’ll make a call to my mechanic today and set up an appointment. And yeah, will keep you all updated on the situation. Cheers! Appreciate your help!
Hey, interesting you should mention this, I had a similar issue with my 2014 Diesel Kia Soul. Noticed a drop in engine power, unusual stalling and rough idling, alongside the infuriating check engine light. It was indeed a defective EGR valve in my car. EGR valve helps in reducing the tempo of the combustion process, lowering the temperature and in turn, decreasing NOx emissions. If the valve gets stuck or isn't working correctly, it does indeed create performance issues like you described. I took it to the shop, and after a bit of fussing around, the mechanic pinpointed my EGR valve. He replaced it and did a complete clean of the system to remove soot deposits. Keep in mind, this was not a trivial issue. The EGR valve plays a critical role in controlling emissions and maintaining engine performance. So, I'd advise you to not wait too long before getting any diagnostics done. Not sure about your Venga, but my Soul ran noticeably smoother after the repair, and I haven’t experienced those problems since. Hope this helps ya! Cheers!
