2016 Volvo V70 Gasoline: Issues with Audio and Navigation Systems

Hey folks, I'm dealing with an odd issue on my 2016 Volvo V70 Gasoline. Out of the blue, the audio system went completely silent and the navigation system just isn't working. I'm thinking it could have something to do with the audio system function getting limited in some way. Anybody come across something similar and have any idea of what might be causing it? Would really appreciate hearing about your experiences of getting it sorted in the workshop. Thanks in advance!

Hey there! Your problem reminded me of this issue I had on my 2014 Volvo S60. To be honest, my car knowledge is somewhat okay, I'm no expert but learn a bit here and there, specifically from my own trials. In my case, it turned out to be a defective Bass Speaker! Yeah, crazy right? I took it to my local garage, some guy I've come to trust. Cost me 280 Euro to get it sorted. But hey, as you know, every car’s a bit different. To get a closer look, could you share other vehicle info like milage or if any dashboard lights are on? Doing so would probably help me give you a more accurate assessment.

Hey, appreciate the help! What a relief to hear it might just be the speaker acting up, nothing too major, hopefully! The mileage on my V70 is 47534 KM, pretty less for a car of its age, I'd say. I didn't notice any unusual dashboard lights coming on or weird warnings on the display. Everything else seems to be functioning just fine. Last service was carried out a couple of months ago. No issues were reported then. Hoping for the best - crossing fingers it's a simple fix without burning a hole in my pocket! Cheers.
