Hey there! Your situation sounds a bit familiar. My ol' Peugeot gave me the same headaches a few months back. Like you, I suspected the battery. Turned out, it actually was the battery sensor. Got it replaced and it seemed to do the trick. How about you? Did you also have to replace your whole sensor? I honestly can't remember the exact price tag on that fix. Maybe you still recall what you had to shell out for it? And since you've made that fix, have you run into any other issues or was it smooth sailing from there? Cheers!
Hey, good to hear from you! Yeah, your memory serves well - the battery sensor in my 308 GTI did indeed need a replacement. I got the faulty microprocessor sorted out and it ran me about 315€. Not the cheapest fix, but since then, my ride has been starting up like a champ, even on the chilliest days. Since the repair, no other issues have cropped up and the car's been going smooth. It's like getting rid of a nagging headache. Touch wood, it stays this way! Always good when things actually get fixed the first time around, isn't it? So, looks like you may need a similar solution for your 4008. Best of luck, and let's hope your Peugeot bounces back like mine did! Cheers!
Thanks for sharing your experiences, guys! I had a hunch it might be the battery sensor and it sounds like I was onto something. €315, eh? It's a little steep, but if it'll get my 4008 running smoothly again, I suppose it's worth it. Plus, hearing that your cars have been problem-free since the fix is encouraging. I just hope my Peugeot follows suit! I'll probably have that battery sensor replaced then and cross my fingers it does the trick. Thanks again for the suggestions and good vibes. Here's hoping my next start-up isn't a cold one! Cheers, friends!
Our Peugeot 4008 BJ:2013 65000 Km, runs normally when cold, once it has reached its operating temperature it runs very restless especially at 2000 engine revolutions in the partial load range. Feels like an injector is defective and only runs on 3 cylinders, According to the workshop, the injectors and high-pressure pump are OK and the fault memory is also empty. My garage is at a loss and has just given up. Maybe someone here has an idea. Many thanks in advance.

It sounds like you might be dealing with a fuel delivery issue. If the injectors and high-pressure pump have been checked and are okay, you might want to consider checking the fuel filter. A clogged fuel filter can cause the engine to run rough, especially at certain RPMs. If the filter is clogged, it might not be able to deliver enough fuel to the engine, causing it to run on fewer cylinders. I recommend replacing the fuel filter and see if the issue persists. Please keep us updated on your progress.
Hey there, well, I totally get your situation. I got a 2013 Peugeot 308 GTI, and I faced pretty similar symptoms a while back. Thought it was the starter motor at first, but my mechanic diagnosed it as the battery sensor microprocessor being faulty after running a few tests. He explained it as a critical but not life-threatening issue for my ride. It's sort of like a human catching a cold - pretty irritating but doesn't bench ya completely if taken care of. So, he sorted it out. We needed to replace the whole sensor, which did the job. Since then, the car fires on all cylinders even on cold mornings. To be on the safer side, you may want to do the same. It could well be your problem too. Hope you get your 4008 back to its sprightly self soon. Best of luck!
