Hey there, funny you should mention this, my 2017 Dacia Logan had the same issues not long ago. I was ready to lay blame on the fuel pump too, but like our 's Sandero, the troublemaker turned out to be a wonky wiring harness and spark plug. After the swap, my Logan bounced back and the jerking and stalling ceased completely. Quick question though, do you recall how much you had to fork out for the fix, and has anything else acted up since? Cheers!
Oi there! Alright, so to answer your question, I ended up paying about 95€ to the mechanic for the whole fix. That covered the replacement of the defective wiring harness and plug. Worth every penny I reckon, since the gremlins buggered off and my Dacia's been running as smooth as a hot knife through butter ever since. And about the fuel pump you mentioned earlier, you could say your hunch wasn't far off the mark. After the wiring harness and plug job, my mechanic did find a defect with the fuel pump as well. He sorted it out then and there, so that whole drama ended up being a one-time show. The car's been top-notch since, no extra bit acted up. Hope this gives you some kind of relief. Cheers!
Hey, thanks a lot both of you! Really appreciate your advice, seems like I'm heading in the right direction with my fuel pump paranoias, and the entire wiring thing is a good tip too. I think it's time I found a new mechanic, hopefully one that doesn't make me consider selling my Dacia out of frustration, haha. Anyhow, crossing my fingers, I hope my Logan turns smooth-sailing like your rides after the fix. I feel a bit better about the whole situation now. Cheers, you're both lifesavers!
Hey! I've got a 2018 Dacia Sandero and faced something pretty similar a while back. It was shaky, erratic performance and, yeah, my engine cuts out unusually just like you're describing. The check engine light was my constant companion, and the smoke from my exhaust could've signaled distress to a passing ship. You might be onto something with the fuel pump suspicion, but it was a different culprit in my case. The mechanic found a faulty wiring harness and plug - they were messing with my car's electrics, causing all those symptoms. This might be a serious factor for you too, considering the jerking and stalling. Anyway, they changed the faulty parts and after that, the car was running smooth as silk. Hope that helps, and fingers crossed that your Logan is back to its old self soon. Cheers!
