Hey, thanks for the info, that sounds pretty much the same as my 5 Series... It's a real bummer that it's such a big job, but at least it's good to know that it'll run smoothly again afterwards. Can you remember how much the whole thing cost you? And have there been any other problems since then or has everything gone smoothly? Many thanks in advance.

Hey, you're welcome! After the visit to the mechanic, the malfunction of the electric coolant pump was rectified and I haven't had any problems with it since. Fortunately, because it was quite an effort and not exactly cheap. The cost of repairing the fault in the pump's fuse was €52. Apart from that, everything went smoothly and the car is running perfectly again. Hope this helps you and keep your fingers crossed that you'll soon have your 5 Series back on the road!

Ah great, thank you! That sounds encouraging. It's great to hear that you haven't had any other problems. I really hope it goes the same for me. I have an appointment at the garage next week, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Really thanks for the info and words of encouragement. I'll keep you up to date! Best regards.

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2012 BMW 3 series. I kept getting warnings for overheating. The "check engine" light was also constantly flashing. In the end, it was indeed a problem with the electric coolant pump, as you suspected. When I took my car into the shop, they had to completely replace the pump. It was a pretty big job because they had to disassemble a lot to get to the pump, and then they had to change the coolant as well. It was definitely not a small problem, but something more serious. But since then my car has been running like new again. I hope this information helps you a little. Good luck with the repair!
