Hey there, Thanks for the insight! An ASC relay defect, huh? That's a route I haven't thought about actually, and your experience sounds similar to mine. So, I guess that's another possibility to look into at the garage. I'm curious though, how much did the repair set you back? Also, since you got it fixed have you noticed anything else similar cropping up, or has it been smooth sailing since then? Again, appreciate the advice!
Hey! No problem, happy to help! In terms of costs, my wallet was lighter by 90 Euro after they fixed that ASC relay defect. Not the cheapest fix, but totally worth it in terms of peace of mind, ya know? And about your question on any further issues - knock on wood, but it's been running just fine ever since. That prior visit to the mechanic totally sorted out the functional restrictions I was facing in the ASC system. But hey, remember each car and incident is unique, so it could turn out different for you. Just make sure you get a knowledgeable mechanic to have a look. Best of luck!
Cheers for the quick response! Oh, 90 Euro, that's a tad pricier than I expected but like you said, peace of mind matters. It's a relief to hear that it's all good and dandy for you now, gives me hope for my ol' Mohave here. Absolutely! It's all about finding that one reliable mechanic, right? You've given me a lead to follow. I think I'm gonna give another mechanic a try and see how that pans out. Again, you've been super helpful, cheers! Cross your fingers for me. Off to the garage I go, will update how it all turns out. Catch you later!
Hey there, Had a similar issue with my 2017 Kia Sorento a while back. It's also gasoline-powered. The ABS light was on, accompanied by the ASC warning sign as well. The system was haywire, quite similar to what you're describing for your Mohave. Turns out the problem indeed had its roots in the ASC system, but it was more specific - an ASC relay defect. Got it fixed at a garage that I trust. It wasn't a simple 'oil change' kind of fix but not immensely complex either, they needed some time to do it properly though. In my case, it wasn't something to brush off as a minor glitch, so definitely don't take it lightly. I'd suggest visiting a mechanic but maybe give a different one a shot if you weren't too happy with your last experience. Remember, in the end, the aim is to keep the wheels rolling safe and sound. Good luck!
