Hey, thanks for sharing your experience! It's a relief to know I'm not the only one facing this glitch. Your situation does sound remarkably similar to mine. Just curious, do you happen to recall how much the entire fix set you back? And have you encountered any more issues related to this since getting it guys sorted out? Cheers!
Hey! Happy to help. I vividly remember that the bill came around to about 155€. That was for the defective cable connection repair. Not too shabby considering it's been nothing but clear mirrors and perfect temperature since then. To answer your second question, nope, not a single problem since the defogging sensor got sorted. I'd definitely recommend taking a leap of faith with a good mechanic. Good luck with your LFA!
Hey, that sounds really reasonable and, most importantly, fixes the issue for good. With that kind of positive outcome, I am a lot more comfortable in taking the risk again. Definitely need to get this thing fixed before it escalates into a bigger issue. Thanks a bunch for the help and the guidance, you've definitely eased my worries. I'll hope for the best! Cheers!
Hey there! I can totally relate to your situation. Had quite a similar situation with my 2012 Lexus LFA. It started giving off peculiar heating and cooling issues too, especially the defrost system - more or less the same rattle you're having. Anyway, took her down to my local mechanic. Ended up being a defective cable connection connecting the sensors to the heating/cooling system. It was not triggered properly, causing the mirror defrost and the overall system to glitch. As far as severity goes, it wasn't a catastrophic issue, but that doesn't mean it was any less annoying. Left unattended, it could lead to worse problems down the line. So I'd say get it checked soon. Let me tell you, since getting it fixed, it's been smooth sailing for my LS. Hope your LFA gets sorted out as well. All the best!
