Hey, appreciate the advice. Sounds like our cars were singing from the same hymn sheet. I had a hunch it might be a faulty sensor microprocessor but didn't realize it could snowball into something much larger. Phew! Glad to hear your Doblo bounce back - gives me some hope. Just curious, do you recall what damage it did to your wallet? And have you noticed any related glitches since? Cheers!
Hey back at ya, I feel you, it's those unexpected problems that can chip away at your sanity. Regarding your curiosity about the damage to my pocket, I ended up forking out 315€ to get the battery sensor microprocessor issue sorted. Might sound steep, but in hindsight, it's a small price to pay for peace of mind. And to answer your other question, it's been performance perfection since! After the mechanic had a go at it, the battery sensor was no longer pulling the strings behind the scenes. The cold starts and weird battery behaviour have vanished into thin air. Hope your Fiorino will soon be humming along rather than gasping for breath. Fingers crossed! Cheers!
Hey, thanks for the insight, really appreciate it. That price tag made me gulp, not gonna lie. But you're right, peace of mind doesn't come cheap. Nothing worse than a car acting like a perplexed puppy, especially in chilly weather. Stoked to hear you've had smooth sailing since the fix. Gives me the push I needed to get it sorted. Can't wait to have my Fiorino purring like it's used to. Fingers crossed and hats off to you for sharing your story. Cheers!
Hey there, I definitely get what you're talking about, had a similar rut with my 2009 Fiat Doblo a while back. My ol' Doblo was a bit of a hard-starter when it was chilly, battery light flickering, the works. After trudging to the garage, it turned out to be a defective battery sensor microprocessor. Apparently, it wasn't reading battery levels rightly, messing up the car's startup and overall operation. They had to replace the entire thing and recalibrate the system to get it all coordinated again. It's not just a little problem in the system. It's quite a significant issue that can lead to bigger problems if ignored. But once sorted, my Doblo was back to its prime, no more hard-starts or battery level goofiness. Your symptoms sound quite similar to mine, so it's possible you're dealing with the same problem. I'd recommend having it checked soon. Good luck!
