Whoa, seems like you've drawn the short straw there that's quite a pickle! Can totally relate to the 'drive 'em, not fix 'em' mindset. The ABS sensor issue is making rounds it seems! Can't say I've had the exact same thing going on with my LFA, but it does sound kind of familiar. Seen a nasty light or two in my time for sure. Taking it to a good garage to give it a once over is a solid suggestion, I second that. It cost you a pretty penny to sort things out, right? Mind sharing the damage to your wallet for the ABS sensor replacement? Been driving smoothly since then or had any other problems sneak up on you? Cheers!

Hey again! Yeah, you hit the nail on the head there! Taking care of the ABS sensor did set me back a bit, but ain't peace of mind priceless? Cost me precisely 260€ to wave goodbye to that pesky issue. That includes the new sensor and the cost of labor, of course. Still cheaper than a hefty accident that could come from ignoring an ABS malfunction, right? And once they fixed that ABS sensor issue, it made a world of difference. My trusty Lexus IS F has been behaving like a dream ever since - No funky lights or anything since that garage visit! Smooth sailing, my or should I say, smooth driving, haha! Guess the key here is not to ignore those warning signs, as much as they’re a pain in the rear end. Safe and sound is the way to be! Cheers!

Good to hear from you folks and your experience! Your reassurance makes this easier. You're totally right, no price is too high for peace of mind and safety. ABS being a key safety component, I'm not gonna risk it. Glad to hear your ride's been running smoothly post the ABS sensor issue. Honestly, any cost below a grand seems like a deal in this situation. Guess it's time for my LFA to have another rendezvous with the garage. Fingers crossed, hoping for a quick and painless repair session. Cheers guys, really appreciate the advice. Stay safe, happy driving!

Hey, feels like déjà vu! I've got an 2008 Lexus IS F, pretty similar situation happened a couple of years back. Like clockwork, the ABS light popped on, speedo was acting up, and had a stored fault message. Signs pointed to an ABS sensor issue, and my hunch was right. Took it to my local garage. Didn’t want to fiddle around with it myself, I'm more of a drive 'em, not fix 'em kind of guy. The techs inspected the ABS sensors and indeed found a faulty one. Apparently, grime and metal shavings stuck to the sensor and disrupted the signal. They replaced it and cleaned up the area to prevent future similar problems, as suggested by the mechanic. On the bright side, although the ABS light is a significant warning, the issue wasn’t catastrophic. It was more of an annoying issue, but still something you don't want to ignore, since ABS is a major safety feature, after all. So, peace of mind was secured, and my IS F has been running smoothly ever since. Cheers! P.S. Don't worry too much. I'd suggest taking your LFA to a trustworthy garage, get those sensors checked out. Sure, it's inconvenient, but better safe than sorry, right? Good luck!
