Hey there, Thanks so much for your reply, dude! That indeed sounds really similar to what I'm dealing with right now. I'm glad you managed to pin point to the problem, and tackled it in time. Applying an incorrectly coded sunroof module wasn’t even on my radar. Well, here I was thinking I knew my Ceed inside out, huh? If you don't mind me asking, do you remember around how much you shelled out for fixing the glitch? I'd like to get a ballpark figure before I plunge into a similar situation. And since the fix, has anything else related to this cropped up? Again, great advice! Looking forward to your response. Cheers!
Hey! Ah, I remember the costs well. Got drilled for 75 € for fixing the coding issue alone. Not the cheapest ride at the carnival, right? But I guess, when you consider how critical that roof is to enjoying your ride, it's worth it. And about your other question, since the coding fix and my mechanic giving a once over to my sunroof, it's been smooth sailing. Nothing else related to it has raised its ugly head, thankfully. Hope this gives you a ballpark figure and some peace of mind! Let's get your Ceed sunroof back on its game. Stay cool!
Hey there, Lovely! Thanks a ton for sharing those details. It does provide some clarity about the upcoming expenses. Well, sounds like it's a bit pricey, but I guess what matters is getting my Ceed back into its game. I'm quite hopeful now about the sunroof, fingers crossed! I'm thrilled to hear that since the coding issue fix, you haven’t had any further problems. That’s some good news for the start of my car's journey to the mechanic. Really appreciate your help on this one. I'll be off to the mechanic now. Hope he doesn't stumble upon anything extra, haha! Stay happy and ride safe! Cheers!
Hey! I can relate to your issue. Had a similar glitch with my 2011 Kia Optima awhile back. The convertible top on mine was being a proper pain too. Guess what? It was indeed a sunroof training issue, just like you suspected. Took the car to my local garage, right? They carried out a comprehensive diagnosis and nailed it down to an incorrectly coded sunroof module. In a nutshell, the car's computer system couldn't communicate properly with the convertible top functioning. They did go all out with the diagnostics to make sure there were no other issues. The coding was then corrected, which required a fair bit of computer work with the ECUs. Took a day or two in total, but it solved the problem! It wasn't the end of the world, but it did need attention. Definitely recommend you go for a diagnostic and don't delay. Hope this helps and you get your Ceed back in shape soon! Cheers!
