Mirror doesn't defrost

Hey, no worries, glad I could help! As for the moolah, it set me back about 155€ to get the cable connection sorted. They had to replace the entire plug because it was defective, hence the cost. It might be a bit pricey, but trust me, it's way better than having to shell out for a brand-new mirror. And honestly, since the mechanic took care of that, my mirror's been serving me like a champ! No more mirror or heater problems in either rain or frosty mornings. It's been smooth sailing ever since! Hope this helps and you have the same luck with your Trajet. Cheers!
Hey, thanks for sharing the price and glad to hear it's been good since then! The price does sound steep, but I guess if it saves me in the long run, it's worth it. And here I thought buying a new mirror would be my only option. I'll get my mechanic to check out those cables. Thanks a million for the advice I owe you one. Finger crossed my Trajet is as cooperative! Cheers!
Hey, seems like our vehicles are sort of kin. I own a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe, and I had something similar happen last year. The heater in my rearview mirror stopped working. Turns out, it was a cable connection issue. Not exactly a mirror heater. My mechanic had to replace the whole plug because the original one got totally messed up over time. Now, I won't sugarcoat it, it wasn't a quick and easy fix. The mechanic had to dig into the door panel to reach the cables. But, once it was done, the mirror has been working fine ever since. Just make sure your mechanic does a complete check on the cable connections first before trying to replace the whole mirror. Save you some trouble. Best of luck with your Trajet!
