2006 Hyundai Accent GPS Connection Problem and Potential Antenna Issue

Hi! I've come across something similar with my 2008 Hyundai Elantra a while back. Guess we're in the same boat. I don't claim to be an automotive expert, but I do tackle some jobs on my own car now and then. When my GPS went kaput, I took it to my faithful local garage. We quickly found out that it was indeed a defective GPS antenna. The folks there were able to replace it fairly swiftly. Set me back by around €200, but it solved the problem. Just to make sure I can provide better help, mind sharing if you have any modifications on your Accent? It could be aftermarket additions or even software updates. Cheers!

Since you haven't got any major modifications, there’s a good chance it is indeed the antenna, like in my Elantra. I'd suggest you go ahead and have it checked. You don't want to end up lost in the middle of nowhere because your GPS isn't working, right?
