Hey hey! Your situation sounds too familiar. My 2007 Logan had exactly the same problem a while back. Mucked around with it until I caved and let a mechanic take a peek. Looked like the AUC sensor was the culprit! The nutty thing was back to normal once replaced. I can't exactly recall how much I dropped on it, do you remember the damage on your pocket? And more importantly, has anything similar given you gyp since then? Best of luck with it!
Hey! Ah, yes, the cost. Well, replacing that nuisance of an AUC sensor set me back by around 90€. Just the sensor was defective, nothing else. Once that was sorted, voila, it was smooth sailing again. And to answer your next question, nope, luckily there hasn't been a peep out of it since. After that fix, my heating/cooling system has been humming along perfectly. So, all's good now, at least on the AUC sensor front. Let's hope it stays that way, fingers crossed! Keep me posted on how it works out for you. Best!
Appreciate the share guys! It’s always comforting to know you're not the only one dealing with such troubles. Your inputs have definitely eased my nerves a bit. It seems I'm on the right track suspecting the AUC sensor. Guess I'll have to swallow the pill and let the mechanic deal with it. I'm a bit relieved that it's not as complex a fix as I thought. And, honestly, 90€ isn't majorly brutal damage on an old chap like mine. Let's hope my luck runs similar to both of yours, and it stays fixed once done. Will keep you guys looped in on the progress. Cheers for the insights, you've been splendid! Keep safe and happy driving, fellas!
Hey there! So, I have a 2003 Dacia Solenza and I had a similar issue a while ago. The blower became unreliable, less efficient and heating/cooling system wasn't working right, like you mentioned. After poking around and doing some check-ups, my mechanic found out that it was an issue with the AUC sensor, same as your hunch. Turns out, the sensor itself was faulty, not just a connection goof. It was a bit of a bummer because it's a vital component, responsible for deciding how much fresh or recirculated air gets used, which impacts the function of your heating/cooling system. In my case, the sensor was just defective and required replacement. The process of changing the sensor wasn't the biggest task in the world, but it was essential to getting everything back up and running smoothly. It's not too complicated so your mechanic should be able to tackle it. So, based on my experience, have your mechanic diagnose your car, possibly it's the sensor acting up. Don't stress too much about it though, this issue is not a rarity and it's manageable, cars have their quirks after all. Hope this helps!
