2005 Nissan Patrol Hands-Free System Malfunction: Seeking Advice and Experiences

Calls cannot be answered

Hey everyone, I need some help with an issue on my 2005 Nissan Patrol - Gasoline engine, about 70kkm mileage. Last time I had a bad experience at the mechanic and now I'm having trouble with my hands-free system. I can't seem to get calls - makes me think it's a faulty microphone thing. Anyone else had this problem with their ride? Would appreciate to hear your experience with your mechanic for this same mess. Any insight would help - thanks!

Hey there, I get where you're coming from. I had a similar issue with my 2008 Nissan Pathfinder. My hands-free system was acting up, too. Turns out, it wasn't just the microphone; the whole infotainment system had gone wonky. In my case, the mechanics at my local garage pinpointed that the Bluetooth module which connects the phone to the car infotainment system wasn't functioning properly. They had to replace the module and get the system software updated. But hey, don't sweat it too much. It's a bummer, but it's not a life-or-death kind of thing for your ride. Just ensure you find a competent hand who knows about your Nissan inside out. Good luck!

What's up, that's super frustrating, innit? I had the same issue with my Patrol's hands-free, too. It was indeed the darn Bluetooth module just like said. Spent a whole day at the garage to get it fixed, but it saved me a lot of headaches since. Hey, do you remember what the dent to your wallet looked like for that fix? And have you had any similar glitches crop up since then? Cheers!

Hey, Ah, money matters, eh? Well, speaking of costs, the fix for my Pathfinder's Infotainment system ended up setting me back a whopping 815 €. Yeah, it was a bit steep, but the service was top-notch and they sorted the whole thing out. And since we're on the topic, guess what? That faulty microphone for the hands-free system? That issue's been kicked to the curb too. Ever since the mechanic did his magic, it's worked like a charm. You know what they say, - you often get what you pay for. And in this case, no more grating tech problems. Cheers!

Hey guys, Thanks for the solid advice. Really helped clear things up. Just rough about the cost,, my wallet's still recovering from the last mechanic visit! But, it seems like it's a critical operation. Can't deny the peace of mind it brings. I will definitely dig up a pro for my ride now. No more messing around, won't risk another bad experience. Thanks again, s!
