Hey, cheers for the reply! So it was a faulty wiring harness issue, huh? That's something I hadn't considered. Makes me wonder if my Stagea has a similar fault. By the way, do you remember roughly how much it cost you to get the situation sorted with your Skyline? Also, have you noticed anything else off with your car since the repair? Any other issues that popped up later on, maybe? Thanks a ton for the insight! Cheers.

Hey, Yeah, who would've thought, right? Well, it cost me about €155 to sort out the issue with the wiring harness. There was quite a lot to fix but hey, not too shabby for getting such a persistent problem fixed. Since the repair, everything's been hunky-dory. Actually, it solved that solar sensor malfunction in the cabin I was experiencing before too. So, luckily, there haven't been any follow-up issues or any other gremlins creeping up till now. Fingers crossed it stays that way, eh? Hope that helps out with your Stagea. Take care and stay safe! Cheers.

Hey, That's some good news, and not as expensive as I feared! €155 sounds like a fair deal for peace of mind and a functioning air-con, especially with summer rolling in. And it's great to hear that you haven't encountered any other issues since. So, I guess I'll have to take my Stagea down to a reliable mechanic and hopefully, it will be a similar issue that won't take ages to fix. Your experience has definitely given me some guidance. Cheers for all the help, fella! I’ll keep you posted on the situation. Stay safe! Cheers.

Hey, That's interesting. I had a similar quirk with my 2007 Nissan Skyline, also a petrol version, not so long ago. Turned out, it wasn't the solar sensor at all but the wiring harness had a defect. Just like your Stagea, both the heating and cooling were not right. The problem was intermittent, though, which made diagnosing it a bit of a headache. After dragging it down to a trusty garage, the mechanics did a thorough examination and found that some wires were chaffed and shorting. We eventually reached the conclusion that the wiring problem was seriously messing with the HVAC system. They replaced the faulty harness, and voila, everything went back to normal. In terms of severity, I would say it was a significant issue. It required a good deal of time to isolate the fault and fix it. But once they did, it's been smooth sailing. Hope it helps. Keep us posted, alright? Cheers.
