Hey,, appreciate your swift reply and insight. Your experience with the cable issue in your Mazda6 got me thinking - maybe the problem doesn't lie solely with the potential defective Hall sensor. I reckon I'll have my mechanic take check on the cable connections for the tailgate as well. By the way, do you recall how much you shelled out for the cable replacement back then? And any other related issues popped up ever since? Cheers in advance!
Hey! Good thinking, it's best to get everything checked out to solve this puzzle. Regarding the repair costs, I did dish out 95€ over the cable replacement. A bit pricey, but totally worth it. Haven't had any cable or lock-related issues with the car since then, making every cent of that expense worth it. The defect in the Hall sensor on the tailgate was handled too. Totally say goodbye to that annoying warning light after the fix. So, no worries there! You'll be back on the road with no tailgate hassles in no time. Cheers!
Hey,, thanks a ton for the detailed response! That's definitely reassuring to hear, fingers crossed my issue gets fixed as smoothly as yours did. It indeed sounds like it was worth every penny. I'm eager to get my beloved Mazda back in perfect running shape as soon as possible. I'll keep you posted about my tailgate's recovery! Thanks again for the advice. Cheers!
Hey there,. Sorry to hear you're having that issue with your Premacy Diesel. I had a somewhat similar issue with my 2004 Mazda6 last year. It wasn't the tailgate, but I had consistent issues with my central locking system. The problem, it turns out, was a defective cable. The symptoms were a bit different though, the doors wouldn't lock/unlock reliably, and like you, I had a mysterious warning light on my speedometer. It seemed serious since I had issues getting in and out of the car, but my mechanic was able to figure it out, thankfully. He traced the problem to a faulty cable and replaced it. Post replacement, the warning light disappeared and the central locking system has been as good as new since then. So from my experience, cable defects can indeed mess up things and trigger warning lights. I'd say have your mechanic check if your issue might also be down to a faulty cable. Hopefully, your issue gets sorted out soon good luck!
