'19 Mazda CX30 ABS/DSC Issues: Possible Connection to Transmission Fluid Levels?

ABS/DSC system is not working

Hey fellow car enthusiasts, I've run into a peculiar problem with my '19 Mazda CX30 - gasoline model. Seems like my ABS/DSC isn't functioning as it should. Wondering if this could be due to my transmission fluid running out? Has anyone else experienced this with their ride? Really keen to hear about any troubleshooting tips you used or how you got the problem fixed at a workshop. Cheers in advance for your help!

Hey! I've got a '17 Mazda CX3 - very similar to your beast, so maybe I can help. I won't claim to be a car whiz, just a bloke with some experience, you know? I faced a similar problem, and initially thought it was due to the transmission fluid too. But in my case, it turned out to be worn out gear oil. It cost me a cool 365€ at my local workshop to have things sorted. Anyway, to give you a more accurate guess, it would help to know how many miles you've put on your ride. Have you checked your brake fluid and transmission fluid recently? And has the weather there been exceptionally cold or hot? All these factors can play a part. Keep me posted so we can sort this out.

Hey there, thanks for getting back to me! Firstly, shout out for sharing your experience and the potential gear oil problem - that had crossed my mind as well. Lots of great questions too! So, my Mazda has done about 181259 KM. I haven't checked my fluids recently, now that you mention it so will definitely do it as soon as I get a moment. The weather here's been pretty temperate, nothing out of the ordinary. Let's see if we can solve this mystery together!

Hello again! Kudos for the speedy response. With this high mileage, there might be some components wearing out, like the brake sensors - they can play up and cause your ABS/DSC to malfunction. And if you haven't checked your fluids recently I'd put that at the top of your to-do list. It's a simple task, and it can prevent a whole lot of headaches down the line. If the weather's been pretty normal, I'd rule out temperature as a contributing factor. But, like I said before, my ABS/DSC issue was down to the gear oil. So, besides checking the fluids, I'd revisit that thought of the gear oil - it worked for me and might as well for you. Do keep me updated, and remember, if you're ever in doubt, a professional opinion from a workshop might just be your best bet. Good luck, and let's hope to have your old girl up and running smoothly again.

Hi again! Thanks for coming back with those tips. The advice about the brake sensors and checking my fluids makes a lot of sense. I'll crack on with that - the to-do list just got a bit longer, but for good reason! The gear oil point is interesting and is definitely something I'll check. I'll definitely keep you updated, and if things continue to puzzle, you bet I'll head to a pro. So, here's to getting my bad girl up and running smoothly again. Thanks a ton! Until then, keep revving!
