Hey there, Thanks a bunch for sharing your experience! It's food for thought that faulty connections could wreak such havoc, I'll definitely have it on the radar for when I get the mechanic to check in. On a side note, do you recall around how much you shelled out for those harness repair works? And since you mentioned your beast is now running smooth as, has anything else unexpected turned up ever since? Ride safe, and cheers again for your insights!
Hey! No worries, happy to share! Regarding the repairs, I paid roughly 155.00 € to have the cable/plug connection glitch sorted. Bit of a pinch but hey, way better than having the car stall on me in the middle of nowhere, right? And you know what, the funniest thing happened - after the repair, that pesky Incorrect door contact signal just disappeared. Must've been linked somehow. It's been smooth sailing, so no ghosts from the past decided to show up, thankfully! Safe journeys!
Hey! I appreciate you for getting back so quickly, really helps to get a ballpark figure for what to expect. 155.00 €, huh? Ouch! but yeah, would be a bigger ouch if it left me stranded out there. And about that door contact signal - that is excellent news! Seems like we might have the same phantom on board. I can't wait to finally have it settled. Off to the mechanic tomorrow, and hopefully, I'll be back on the road like you in no time. Will keep you posted! Take care, and here's to more smooth cruising! Cheers!
Hey! Had something funky going on with my '13 Kia Optima not too long ago, nearly about the same mileage as yours, though it was more about power issues than ride height. Notepad diagnostics showed the problem was a defective cable/plug connection. Mechanics had to dive into it and fix the faulty harness. From my understanding, it wasn't a trivial job, but still a long shot from a new engine or something. Never thought a faulty connection could direct so much mischief to the ride. But again, it might not be the same case as yours, but it's worth checking, you know? After the repair, my mota runs like clockwork, no unnecessary surprises so far. Be safe on the road! Take care!
