For VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda models, there are many different modules available for coding. Please note that it is still dependent on the specific model, which module can be found and also which customization options are supported. Also the installed components and also the software versions of the individual modules influence the result.

Central Electronics (CE)

The Options for the lightning System are stored in the central electronics unit (CE). It is possible to change various components of the lightning System, for example the brightness Level or the Signal light cycles, in the central electronics. Also the voltage Monitoring of Xenon Units can be activated here.
Please note that many codings ultimately depend on which components are basically present in the lightning Systen at all.

Comfort System Gateway (CSG)

In the CSG you have the possibility to adjust various comfort functions. For example, several windows or the tailgate can be locked or unlocked differently. Furthermore, optical or even acoustic confirmations for locking the vehicle are stored in the Comfort System Gateway (CSG).
Please note that newer models don´t have the Comfort System Gateway (CSG) installed anymore.
In that case you´ll find the comfort adjustments in the central electronics.

Dashboard

The Dashboard module contains settings for activating or deactivating various warning signals in the vehicle. Very popular in this area are the adjustments of the seat belt reminder or the wash water level.
